Samuel's First Birthday

We celebrated Samuel's First Birthday last weekend. He is such a fun little boy that adds a lot of joy and love to our family. The party was a lot of fun, my girls always get excited when there are presents to be opened and cake to eat.
Aunt Ashley painted faces.

Aunt Lindsey and Aunt Melissa pose for a picture.

The birthday boy.

I can't figure out how to rotate this picture but here is a picture of the cake Ashley made Samuel. I am so jealous of all her creative gifts.

Two Wheels

Abigail learned to ride her bike in two days within about 20-30 mins combined. She is very proud of herself as are we of her. Everyday she comes home from school and wants to ride her bike. I think she feels independent and confident without her training wheels.

Hold on

This picture melts my heart. Josh found a bike trailer at a garage sale and he took the girls on a ride around the neighborhood. When we put Anna in the trailer she was giddy and wrapped her chubby fingers around her big sister's arm. I hope they can always be there for each other in the future.

Visit From Family and Daddy's Birthday

We had my grandparents, 2 aunts and 1 of my cousins come and visit last weekend. It was a lot of fun with beautiful weather.
Anna and Great Paw Paw Laurent

We also celebrated Josh being home from China and his 3oth birthday. It was so good to have Josh home. Sarah kept asking if he was going to spend the night at her house. Two weeks is way too long without him.

Aunt Emily came into town to join in on all the festivities. The girls were so excited.

This was the best picture we could get of the Great Grandparents with all of the Oklahoma grandchildren.

We had a busy but fun filled weekend.

Anna is 6 months

Anna turned six months old on the 22nd. She is growing so fast. She is so curious that she is always moving to find the source of the noise she is hearing, so much so she doesn't have time to eat. I think she is tired of people telling her she is huge so she is now watching her weight and not really eating more than 3 oz at a time. Anna sits up very well and will roll to try to reach any item. She likes to suck her lips and smacks them which makes her look a little like a monkey. Anna is easy to make smile and she lights up the room with it. I can't wait to see how her personality blossoms.

Anna's "First"

Anna has had a lot of first recently. She started sitting about a week ago. She didn't seem to have any interest in sitting and then before I knew it she was sitting by herself. She is sitting here with her favorite toy.

I gave her cereal tonight for the first time and she was loving it. She acted like she had been eating like this for months. There was hardly any cereal on her face or clothes. She also really wanted the spoon so I handed it to her and she put the spoon directly in her mouth. I was amazed.

We also put Anna sitting in the cart for the first time at Wal-Mart and she was giddy. I didn't think she would think anything of it but she grinned and jumped and thought she was big stuff, it was so funny. She is growing up so fast, but I love seeing her personality blossom into a content and happy baby.

Sarah's First Day of School

Sarah started her first day of school on Wednesday and was so excited. She is in the Bees class and her teachers are wonderful. Her teacher told me that Sarah selected herself to be the line leader and she showed all the other kids how they should stand. Her teacher also told me that she pretended to be a bee with their bee costume for a while during class. There is such a difference in her maturity this year compared to last year.
She told everyone she was going to play puzzles when she got to school and that is exactly what she did when she entered the classroom. She barely told me bye.
