The Circus

This was as close as Abigail wanted to get to the elephants.
Sarah found a great seat on Daddy all night except when she decided to jump to the music.

Yesterday we had a wonderful family day. We had sunshine that really helped us enjoy our day. We fed the ducks, went to Bass Pro, ate at McDonald's and we finished the day with a trip to the circus. The girls enjoyed the circus especially the animals. Abigail wants to fly on the trapeze one day and thought the lions were funny. Sarah did not like the circus at first but quickly learned to enjoy it, in fact by the end Sarah was jumping to the song. I think she thought people were cheering for her. We really enjoyed our day together.

Planting Seeds

Yesterday the girls helped Josh plant seeds to transplant into our garden in the spring. Abigail was very excited about watching them grow so much in fact that she was staring at the dirt waiting for the sprout to pop out. Sarah thought the seeds might taste good Josh had a difficult time keeping her from eating the pepper seeds. It is so great to watch the girls get excited about the garden. They talk about it and the vegetables they like to eat out of it. It is amazing how much learning comes out of it and how many of the vegetables they will eat because they helped grow them.

Going to Grandma's

Yesterday the girls got dresses in their dress up and pretended to go to Grandma Denton's house. They brought along Maddie (Grandma's cat) and Abby (Grandma's dog) and pretended to fly on a plane. Maddie and Abby were crying a little so the girls were busy keeping them quiet while on the plane. This was so cute to watch. They miss Grandma so much and I know they love having her visit.

Baby Sarah

Look at our pathetic big baby. (She of course does not want her picture taken.)

Sarah really enjoys being a baby. She loves for us to wrap her in a blanket and pretend she is our baby, especially after taking a bath. Everyone has to kiss the baby and bring her a pretend passy. I am cherishing every moment knowing that one day I will not get to hold her like that.

Fun with Grandma

Grandma Denton and Great Grandpa Becker came to visit last week. We had fun going to Bass Pro Shop, Starbucks, and Aunt Kim's baby shower. We also had fun playing games like hide and seek and memory. Abigail enjoyed waking up Grandma in the middle of the night to have a slumber party with her. Another highlight for Abigail was getting to have her car seat in the back of the van and having Grandma sit with her. We all really enjoyed having everyone here and were really sad to see them leave. We look forward to their next visit.

Mr. Grumpy

Abigail is growing up so fast and in so many ways. One example is the other day Josh asked Abigail to pick up her legos and she did not listen so he told her again with a little more authority and she said "okay Mr. Grumpy". I know I shouldn't but I could not help but laugh.

Thoughts from a three year old

The other day on the way home from school Abigail told me about a picture she took in class. She told me I would really like it and I could bring it with me to the hospital. I asked her why would I be at the hospital? She said "when you have a baby." I said "I am not having a baby." She replied "How many more days until you have a baby" I stated that "I don't know how many more days." She replied exasperated "oooohhh I have been waiting so long for Aunt Ashley's baby." Maybe she is thinking of Aunt Kim's baby; we definitely have been waiting longer to meet that new precious baby. She is very interested in all the new life surrounding her.

Baby Lukie

Despite not being interested in months, the girls started to ask if they can hold Lukie. Lucas is now walking and is almost as big as Sarah and Sarah says "hold Ukie, hold Ukie." Maybe they will really enjoy holding Lucas' new baby brother or sister that is due in October!! Congratulation Weatherford Family!!

Nap Time

Abigail did not take a nap the other day, so after quiet time she watched Veggie Tales and fell asleep, with a purse on her head.

PJ Day

Thursday during the snow storm Abigail was supposed to have PJ day at school, which was something very much anticipated. It was a daily conversation in our house. Thankfully the school rescheduled PJ day to Tuesday. Abgail was very excited.

Another winter storm

Abigail asked Grandma to snuggle with her. Grandma said "after I help mommy clean up" Abigail said, "No, Grandma Mommy can clean up by herself." I guess she knows my roll in the house.

I haven't been able to load pictures while Josh was gone so I will be going backward in time a little. The first weekend Josh was gone we had another round of snow and ice. The news stations were also calling for power outages and predicting a storm worse than the 2007 ice storm. Thankfully that didn't happen. We were blessed to have my parents come over it really helped keep the girls entertained. We baked cookies, played games, did puzzles, ate icicles, and made some nice memories.

Hidden Treasure????

Today I was changing Sarah's diaper and saw something in her diaper that was very unexpected...a marble!!! Yesterday Abigail and Sarah played hungry hungry hippos and I guess she decided to eat one. I couldn't believe it I thought we were over putting things in our mouths, but obviously not. Thank God she did not choke or have problems with it coming out. I will now be extra cautious.
