Beauty Salon

Last night after giving the girls a bath they decided that they would blow dry each others hair. They had a lot of fun and giggled until Sarah had hiccups.
Abigail always has to stick her tongue out when she is concentrating.
Abigail telling Sarah that she has to keep her head still if she doesn't want the brush to hurt her.

Cute pictures

Here are some random pictures we took recently.
Sarah has been giving us more smiles than ever. I can see her mature each day. Way to go Sarah!
Here is Abigail at the park. I love this picture and I am so grateful for our new camera that allows us to take pictures while our children are moving.

The Nativity

Abigail was the co-star in the Christmas Story yesterday at school. She played the part of Mary and we were so proud of her. She did an excellent job. Abigail is such a great leader. Sarah was an angel and seemed to have more awareness than the last time she performed.

Mary smiling and waving at her captive audience.

The Holy Family.

Watch out Mary the Son of God is about to fall.

Advent Cookies

At bible study on Wednesday we decorated advent cookies. This was a big hit with the kids.
Here are our little helpers that made the cookies and cut them out. I guess Lucas thinks there are too many females in the kitchen.
Here is a picture of all the fun.

Sarah enjoying every minute of her sugar high.
Sarah with frosting all over her mouth. Notice the cookie is sitting on the plate uneaten.

Breakfast with Santa

This weekend we had breakfast with Santa at church. Abigail has been anticipating this day for since Thanksgiving. She told Sarah about everything to expect while there.
These are some of Abigail's best friends from school, Jacob and Conner.
Here is a picture of Sarah and Eli. It is not very good because Santa just walked in and Sarah is not to sure of what to think. I have always thought that they would have beautiful children if they got married.

Sarah coloring an ornament.

Abigail coloring an ornament. This is the first year my kids really enjoyed the crafts. Abigail had to do all of them and even went back to make more.

Not a great picture but they enjoyed telling Santa what they wanted for Christmas. Abigail wants a baby but she is going to let Santa decide if it should have clothes and what color it should be. I guess she likes the element of surprise. Sarah asked for a pink rubber duck with pink polka dots.
Sarah enjoying the candy cane from Santa.

The girls listening to Father Joe read them the Christmas story.

After breakfast with Santa we ran errands and then went eat at Applebees. Abigail really wanted to go eat out and Sarah of course didn't. When we pulled up to Applebees she started crying because she wanted to go eat at Grandma's house. Sarah wore her scarf and her hat throughtout most of dinner.

The girls truly enjoying daddy and the valuable time they get to spend with him.

Abigail and Sarah had fun at our neighbor Landon's birthday party. It was at the Kaliedoscope Children's Museum. They were excited about the party all weekend.
Here is Abigail climbling the rock wall and loving it.

Here is Sarah climbing a smaller wall, although she wanted to be like her big sister and climb the big rock wall.
Sarah loved playing at the grocery center. Everyone else was running around or climbing the wall, but Sarah played at the grocery center for a long time.

24 weeks

Here is a picture of the baby at 24 weeks. It has grown a lot in the last few weeks (or I had too much turkey). I have also been experiencing braxton-hicks, which is a new feeling for me. I think Josh and I are both starting to realize that we really are going to have a baby soon. We should probably start preparing for it, but I am going to wait to prepare for the baby until after Christmas. Then we have to focus or this baby is going to catch us by surprise.

Wish list

Abigail asked me the other day "When can we get Toy Story 3?" I told her she should ask Santa for Toy Story for Christmas. She thought about it for a minute and then asked me "Does Santa bring movies?" I told her yes but I was laughing inside because Abigail thinks Santa will bring her a real puppy but she is not sure if he would bring a movie.

Putting Up Lights

We took advantage of the last warm day and we decided to put up Christmas lights. The girls were so excited. Abigail enjoyed shadowing Josh around and helping him.

Sarah was more interested in watching and playing with a light up angel. She would hug the angel and talk to it for a long time. Unfortunately she would not let me take any good pictures of her.

Leaves and Family

Sarah loves burying herself in the leaves.
The girls enjoy playing in the leaves at Grandma's. Grandma and Paw Paw have a lot more leaves at their house then we have at ours. They love to help rake them and definetly love jumping in the leaves.

I think this might be the first picture of all the grandchildren together. It was quite a show and this is the best picture we took.

Egg Nog

Egg nog mustaches.

Sarah shares her dad's love for egg nog. Abigail tried and did not like it. Sarah of course, likes every drink. I think Sarah feels special to share egg nog with her daddy. She told us "ummm I like this. It taste like Starbucks."

Thanksgiving Presentation

Abigail had a Thanksgiving presentation today at school. They made bread and butter for us and sang many songs. Abigail is always so proud when she has a presentation. She doesn't seem to have any stage freight. Her teacher told me that Abigail is a leader in everything, and I can really see that in her. I hope she always keeps her leadership qualities. I am so proud that Abigail is my daughter.

I love how Abigail shakes her head at the end of the video. I couldn't get the video to rotate, sorry.

Thanksgiving Feast

The girls have been playing so well with one another and with so much creativity. Tonight while I was doing the dishes I listened to them celebrating Thanksgiving. They said prayers, sang songs, said things they were grateful for, and fed their baby. It made my heart swell. I think listening to my girls play nicely and creatively are one of the best things about motherhood.

Halloween pictures

I know that Halloween was almost a month ago but here are some Halloween pictures. I recently got a new computer so hopefully this will allow me to blog more, since I won't have to wait for Josh to come home and the computer will actually read the camera card!!! The girls had a blast on Halloween and ran from house to house. It was fun to watch and it was amazing the difference a year makes. I didn't have to hold anyone and they were independent having fun with all the neighbors we went trick-or-treating with.
Katie came over after we went trick-or-treating and she really enjoyed the girls. They had her giggling. I love seeing babies laugh at other children because there is something so innocent about the whole thing, and it is like they share a secret language.
Abigail was Cinderella. She had wanted to be a princess since last Halloween and she looked beautiful.
Sarah was Minnie Mouse. She only wore the Minnie Mouse ears for about ten minutes.
Here are all of our wonderful neighbors. The whole family is so thankful for all of our friends that are our neighbors. Taking pictures with all of them was pretty amazing because the kids all sat there while everyone took pictures. No one was crying and everyone sat nicely. This was a big change from the previous years. My how everyone is growing up.

Buddies

Abigail and Lucas have a special bond and enjoy being with one another. The other day Abigail went with Aunt Ashley and Lucas to the fire station. They had fun together.
Sitting in the fire truck.
Pulling out the hose to take out the fire.

Resting together after hard work at the fire station. Whenever Abigail lays down to watch T.V. Lucas will bring over his pillow and lay next to Abigail.

Fishing

Once again my pictures are backwards. This morning Josh took the girls fishing while I went out to lunch with my mom and Ashley for my birthday. The girls were so excited. Sarah who wanted nothing to do with the pumpkin yesterday wanted to go and find worms for fishing. Josh said they had a wonderful time even though they only caught one fish. I thank God for Josh being such a wonderful father to his girls. Those 3 love spending time with one another.
Petting the fish. I guess the only people who pet fish are ones without a pet.
