Summer Days

We spend most every night outside with our neighbors. We have the best neighbors. The girls look forward to going and playing with their friends. Before they finish their last bite of dinner they are asking to go back outside and play.

It has been very hot so water is a must.

These girls imagine together so well. And they love switching shoes.

Rainboots, stuffed animals, and good friends.

Sarah always has something big or small stuffed or plastic which she pretends with and her clothing is always intresting. She received pajamas from Aunt Paulette so she wore them all day, and what shoes should she wear in 106 degrees-rain boots.

Blue Bell Factory

We went to the Blue Bell Factory's taste of summer this weekend. We didn't tell Abigail and Sarah where we were going so when they saw the factory they were very excited. Abigail told us she would be happy the rest of her life. We ate a lot of ice cream, jumped in jupiter jumps, and tried to stay cool.

Anna took the heat pretty well.

Abigail trying to stay cool in the fan mist. She was soaking wet and within five minutes she was dry. We are definetly ready for cooler weather.

Sarah enjoying her popsicle.

Feeling cooler

Drillers Game

Tuesday night we decided to go to the Drillers game since the weather was nice. We had a lot of fun but I couldn't tell you the score or who was even playing. Abigail informed me that I could watch her on the playground because baseball was boring and baseball was only for boys. We tried ballpark food, (cotton candy and sno cones were not our favorites), played on the playground, went down slides, and watched the mascot hornsby dance.
Abigail wanted to take a picture with Anna before we left. I think Abigail looks so grown up here.

The girls all dressed up and ready to go to the game. Sarah wore about 12 bracelets, very appropriate baseball attire.

Aunt Melissa was so nice to babysit Anna for us. It is amazing how small our family feels we are minus one child.

This is the slide that I was almost certain Sarah would be afraid to go down. But she went down without blinking. While we were waiting our turn to go down the slide out of nowhere Sarah started to scream hysterically. She said "MY NOSE, MY NOSE!!!" I looked at her nose thinking she hit it on something. I didn't see anything and Abigail looked just as shocked as I was. I kept questioning Sarah and she just kept screaming "MY NOSE!" I started to think that maybe a bug flew in her nose and I told her to blow her nose. She did a little but nothing came out. She then decided to go up the slide. I thought I was going to have to climb up the slide and get her if she made it to the top, but I didn't have to and she came down the slide. She started to whine a little more about her nose so I told her to blow again and sure enough a bug came out this time. So that was exciting.

Sarah also loved the mascot Hornsby. She waved at him and started to back up at the same time.

Sarah decided she wanted to hug Hornsby but was not quite sure if she was brave enough.

After deciding she was brave enough Hornsby left.

Hornsby saw Sarah crying and came back for a photo.

It was a nice night and we all had a great time.

Three Months Old

Anna is three months old today. It feels like she has been apart of our family forever and then it is hard to believe that she is already three months. She is sleeping well. She takes 2-3 really good naps a day and she sleeps at least 10 hours at night. She has weaned herself from nursing so she takes a bottle all day. It makes me a sad that she doesn't nurse but at least I can leave her with other people (if I can remember to leave formula with them). Anna loves watching her sisters and has the biggest smile when people talk to her. She is starting to become a chatterbox. Abigail cannot wait to hear what she really sounds like when she starts talking. Anna still keeps her fist closed all the time and likes to hold on to something as she falls asleep. Anna also likes her mommy. Sometimes she won't settle down or eat for anyone except me. Anna is a wonderful, sweet, baby with very kissable Denton cheeks.

Happy Father's Day

The girls were excited to celebrate Father's Day with Josh. They made cards and helped pick out gifts for Josh. Sarah even told Josh what his gift was on Thursday. Abigail did not appreciate that so she wanted to hide the shirt she picked out for Josh so Sarah would not tell him what it was. We went to church, my mom's, the pool, and then we came home and played in the sprinkler.

Josh is a wonderful father. The girls are so sad when he is not home and they get so excited when he gets home from work. Josh knows how to make most everything fun for them. Abigail loves to help him keep the birds and rabbits out of the garden, and Sarah will even eat vegetables that come out of the garden. I am so thankful to raise our girls with such a wonderful man.

Camping with Daddy

Josh took the Abigail and Sarah camping last weekend for the first time. They had so much fun and are ready to go back soon. I stayed home with Anna since it was very hot outside. I was sad that I couldn't be there with them but I was glad that they could make memories with Josh.

Abigail could hardly contain herself all day. She waited so patiently for Josh to get off work so she could go camping. She kept making statements like "I was wishing that car that just drove by was Daddy. When will Daddy be here?" The pictures above are of the girls during the last thirty minutes of waiting for Josh.

They finally arrive to the campsite.

Their home away from home.

Dinner: Hot dogs, and smores.

Abigail with her fish that she caught and Sarah with her treasure she caught. Abigail enjoyed fishing so much while they were camping. Sarah did not seem as intrested in fishing as Abigail but she did find a little doll that she enjoyed playing with.

Abigail with another fish. My favorite part of this picture is the glove Abigail is wearing. I am glad that I am able to teach my children something.

This makes Josh so proud.

I could not post any words with the video in my last entry so I thought I would write a note about it here. Josh was so proud of this video. That was the first thing he did when he came home was show me that video. He then showed the video to everyone who would watch and he also watched the video at least twenty times by himself since. My mom told me about the new Trace Adkins song "Just Fishing" and I thought of Josh and Abigail. I wish I could have it playing in the background of the video. Abigail might have been just fishing but they created memories that I know Josh will remember forever. I am so glad they had so much fun camping. I know they can't wait to go back but next time they would like more time and cooler temperatures.

So Sweet

Anna is becoming more and more aware and she is starting to smile and coo very often. We can even get her giggling sometimes. I want her to stay little but then I wonder who will she become and what will her personality be like.

Anna is not a thumb sucker she perfers her whole fist.

I can't get enough of those chubby cheeks.

Pet Turtle

Abigail and Josh found a turtle on the road the other night and they picked it up and brought it home. Abigail was so excited she found a box and fed the turtle a strawberry. She also wanted to make sure Sarah was quiet so the turtle would peek her head out. Abigail named the turtle Ellie Beth, which is the name from a classmate's sister in her swim lessons. Sarah liked the turtle until her finger was pinched when she was trying to feel the turtle's skin. Josh had to pry the shell open. But the next morning we convinced them that the turtle needed to be set free in the backyard. Abigail spent the morning watching the turtle and Sarah would check on it every once in a while. After swim lessons it was straight to the backyard to find the turtle. Abigail even wrote Landon a note telling him she found a turtle since she hadn't seen him that week. Eventually the turtle escaped and Abigail was upset. She still looks around for the turtle and if we see a turtle on the road she thinks it is Ellie Beth. I guess we need to think about a pet for Abigail.

We're going on a bear hunt

Abigail and Sarah have been going on a lot of bear hunts lately. They actually play this game without any fighting. I love seeing them use their imaginations and working so well together. I thought everyone should take a lesson from them on bear hunt fashion.

Be sure to wear your nice jewerly.

And beware of the scary bears.

Scrub a dub dub three in a tub

Anna took her first bath with Abigail and Sarah on Thursday night and really enjoyed herself. Abigail enjoyed giving Anna her bath while Anna enjoyed all the attention of her big sister. Sarah didn't seem to think that Anna in the bathtub was anything different, she just carried on in her imaginary world.

Abigail wanted to fill up Anna's belly button with water.

Anna loves baths, and bath time with her sisters brings a big smile to her face.

Swim Lessons

Abigail and Sarah started swim lessons this week. They wake up, put on their swim lessons, and ask me if it is time to leave. They are ready to leave at 8:00 in the morning because they are so excited. They both have become very comfortable in the water. Abigail even went off the diving board on the first day. The best part of swim lessons this year is I get to sit and watch instead of getting into the pool. I love how excited they are to go to swim lessons every day.
