Abigail's First Day of School

Abigail started her first day of kindergarten on Thursday. She was so excited and so nervous. The night before she was ready for bed at 7:15. She was very excited about riding the bus to school. She has already asserted her independence when she told me not to wait for her at the bus stop after school. I know its cliche but I don't know where the time went. I can remember the day we brought her home from the hospital so vividly I now feel like she will be coming home soon with keys to the car. Its hard to believe her days at home with me are over; when you are at home with the kids sometimes it feels like that time will never end. I know Abigail will succeed in school and I can't wait to see how much of a leader she will be. She makes me so proud to call her my daughter.
She made the necklace herself. She also made one for her teacher.

We were so blessed to have both Grandmas here to watch Abigail get on the bus and I know it meant a lot to Abigail.

We had an opportunity for a great family photo but it is nearly impossible to have everyone on board with taking pictures.

Waiting for the bus. Unfortunately the bus didn't come but we worked it all out on Friday.

Snake

Uncle Mark found a snake and showed it to Abigail and Sarah. Abigail thought it was neat and funny to scare me with it but did not want to hold it until Sarah held it. Sarah still surprises me that she can be so girly and then pick up a snake without blinking.

Photo Shoot

Abigail and Anna had fun posing for pictures this morning. I love how it looks like Anna is copying Abigail's poses. They love each other so much.

Anna loves to talk. In fact some days it seems she talks all day long. It will be interesting to see how early she starts saying words. Here is a little snippet of her talking about the water bottle. Anna can really get started talking loudly like she is yelling and wants to be heard over her sisters.

Older Sister Love

As Abigail and Sarah were going outside today they had a funny conversation between themselves.

Sarah: We are going to go out this door?
Abigail: Yes.
Sarah: But there are bees out there.
Abigail: That's okay there aren't any out there anymore, but Sarah you go first.

Abigail then pushes Sarah out the door. Smart girl, send in the little one first.

Gymnastics

Abigail and Sarah started gymnastics today and loved it. Abigail was so excited all day. They have been wearing their leotards for the last three days. Sarah thought the hour long class was a little long but they both are ready to go back next week. I love watching them have fun.
