Fun outside

This morning we had breakfast outside, enjoying the day before it became blazing hot.

Tonight the girls helped Daddy water the garden. They got very wet in the process and I am not sure how much watering really got done, but they had fun getting wet in the sprinkler.

Crazy hats

Last night we went to Los Cabos to eat dinner and Abigail and Sarah really enjoyed it because there was a clown there making ballons. The waited patiently for the clown to come to our table and they were sooo excited when she finally arrived they were speechless. Abigail told me that the clown wasn't real because her nose wasn't very red, she just dressed like a clown.

Sarah did not have an accident in her panies all day!!!! She even told me she needed to go to the bathroom at the doctor's office and she went!!! She still doesn't want to do number 2 though so her tummy hurts a little.

Some highlights from the last two months

We began the summer with swim lessons. Abigail began the lessons apprehensive and telling and retelling her teacher she did not want to get her hair wet. She ended the lessons swimming to her teacher on her own, jumping on the diving board, and putting her face in the water on her own. Sarah enjoyed going to mommy and me swim lessons but was always glad when they were over as well. Sarah even jumped off the diving board (although not completely willing). As we go to the pool now it is so nice how they are both comfortable on their own with floaties of course.

We then had fun with Grandma Denton and Great Grandpa while they visited us. We visited Cherry Berry, ate ice cream, and roasted big marshmallows. We enjoyed a lot of family fun.

Josh then had to go to China for 17 days and we really missed him. The girls were so good this time though, I can really see how much they have grown. We stayed really busy going to the pool, the circus, Vacation Bible School, going to the library, shopping for our trip to Louisiana, meeting our neighbors for pizza, and enjoying many laughs together. Josh got back from China on a Thursday and we left Friday morning for Louisiana to celebrate my grandparents 60th anniversary. We had fun and once again I was impressed how well the girls did. They slept so well altogether in one room, they were grateful and happy. Even Abigail who had a double ear infection. I am so thankful to call them my daughters they make me so proud.
Today we started to potty train Sarah. She is definetly more challenging than Abigail was but by lunch time we were making progress, but our progress is a little impeded by both of the girls having fevers. Abigail laid around all day and Sarah laid around this afternoon. We played games, read books, colored, stamped, and watched a lot of TV. But what else are you going to do when it is so hot outside.

Cute Stories

I am sorry it has been so long since I added a post. Things got very busy as well as computer trouble and Josh being in China for 2 1/2 weeks. I will try to do a long post tonight with pictures but we will see how it goes I tried to do that last night and the computer wouldn't upload pictures.

Abigail has had two stories I have to share. The first was when she told me that she wishes she could take off her shirt like Landon because she gets hot too. I told her I understood but that girls don't take off their shirts. She then proceeded to say "Then just call me Abigail boy."

The second happened while we were in Louisiana. Josh, Abigail, and Collin (a 4 year old cousin), were swimming in the pool, and Collin decided he needed to go to the bathroom so he went on the side of the pool. Josh tried to distract Abigail and that he succeeded until later when he was putting some dry clothes on her she asked "Daddy how old is Collin?" Josh responded by saying "he is about your age 4 or 5." "Then why does he still have something sticking out of his bottom?" Josh in shocks says "because he is a boy." There is obviously a lot of thinking going on in her mind. I guess she has seen Lucas get changed and always thought he had something on his bottom because he was a baby. Out of the mouths of babes.
