Fishing

Once again my pictures are backwards. This morning Josh took the girls fishing while I went out to lunch with my mom and Ashley for my birthday. The girls were so excited. Sarah who wanted nothing to do with the pumpkin yesterday wanted to go and find worms for fishing. Josh said they had a wonderful time even though they only caught one fish. I thank God for Josh being such a wonderful father to his girls. Those 3 love spending time with one another.
Petting the fish. I guess the only people who pet fish are ones without a pet.

20 weeks

I thought I would put a post up of me and the baby at 20 weeks. Things are going well and I am feeling superb. I just keep thinking how different I feel this pregnancy. I know every pregnancy is different but I have a hunch this is a boy. There I go, now that I stated it the baby is surely a girl. But last pregnancy I was very emotional and Sarah is emotional so maybe this time the baby will be happy and easygoing?

Halloween Activities

Abigail and Sarah had a halloween program on Thursday. Abigail enjoyed the spotlight and was very excited about performing. Sarah on the other hand did not want a part of it. In fact she did not even want to go to school and she cried when I dropped her off. Abigail sang well and had a good time, and Sarah didn't sing but she didn't cry for me either.

Abigail smiling for her audience.
One of Abigail's biggest fans...Katie. The girls were so excited at all the family that came to see them. Thank you all for your support.

Sarah is not sure about this program. This is how she looked throughout it.

Abigail is Cinderella and Sarah is Minnie Mouse minus the ears, which she refused to wear.

Daddy took a day of vacation so we also carved our pumpkin this afternoon. At one point Abigail was so excited that she couldn't even choose a pattern to use for the pumpkin. Meanwhile, Sarah wanted nothing to do with it.

Our jack-o-lantern.

I guess for Halloween the girls will only make silly faces. We could not get both of them to smile at the same time. Sarah had her eyes closed the whole time.
Abigail had fun taking out all the seeds, and she was so excited to eat them later. Do you see Sarah in the background naked? Josh told her she needed to roll up her sleeves or take her shirt off if she wanted to take seeds out of the pumpkin. Sarah decided to take her shirt off and then wanted nothing to do with the pumpkin.

Sarah had her face painted at school. She looked in the mirror several times amazed that her face was painted.

Another Busy Weekend

Abigail posing before a family picture.
Sarah trying to imitate Abigail's pose.

A family picture attempt before Samuel's baptism. We had to bribe the girls with candy, but that only worked for about 1 minute.

Samuel being baptized.

The girls being washed in the baptismal font. Hopefully it brought back their original innocence and took out any evil they might have felt.

Going on a nature walk with Uncle Marc.

Sarah picking up a worm and bringing it home for everyone. She had no fear or reservations about picking it up. This really surprised me because she has been really into how things feel.

Pumpkin Patch

Last weekend we took advantage of the beautiful weather and went to the pumpkin patch. We had a wonderful time. The girls are getting soooo independent, it was weird not having to hold anyone or bring a diaper bag.

The only picture we got of them together looking.
This is what most of our pictures looked like. Abigail being patient and Sarah climbing through pumpkins.

Abigail enjoyed riding her pony, Sugar.

Sarah waving at Daddy while she rode Lucky. It was so cute to watch Sarah think she had control of her pony. One time she clicked her heels and said "Go Pony", and the pony started moving. She was so excited that she could control her pony.

We picked out a big pumpkin for Abigail to carve and we tried to get Sarah to pick out a big one but she refused. Instead she picked out three baby pumpkins, a baby, a mommy, and a daddy. It was kinda funny because we told her she could have a big one and a little one and she had no interest in a big pumpkin at all. I guess we got off cheap this year.

Catching Up

The girls love to help daddy in the garden and they love to try anything that comes out of it. Here is our first carrot.
Crazy girls! Creative way to play with stickers that Grandma Denton sent.

This was Abigail's pet for a day, Kelsey (Her best friend in her class last year was Kelsey). She loved this frog, she would pick it up (and let it PEE ON HER) and carry it around, show everyone and check on it several times during dinner. We finally convinced her that the frog would have to be let go if she wanted Kelsey to eat or survive. We made a hole for the frog and Abigail was insistant on giving her a leaf that was her bed. She prayed for Kelsey that night and was soooooooo upset when Kelsey was not there in the morning. She still talks about Kelsey all the time. It makes me sad to see how much my children love animals and how we don't have one. I never thought I would be in this position, maybe it is pregnancy hormones, but we have been debating about getting the girls a pet. I never wanted one in my house ever. They bother my allergies, they are stinky, cost money, and need attention even while you are gone. So the logical part of me always easily says no. But now there is this mother part of me that has a lot of guilt about it and that wants nothing more than to give my children something that can make them sooo happy. It definetly must be pregnancy or I am going crazy.

Sarah dressing up as Nemo to try to get Lucas to want to dress up as Nemo. It didn't work, but Sarah loved being Nemo.

Abigail had a premonition and told me that she was going to see Aunt Ashley's baby tomorrow, which would be October 4. I told her I wasn't sure if Aunt Ashley would have her baby tomorrow but she would definitely have it by the end of the week. Abigail then told me no, I am going to the hospital tomorrow to see the baby. She must have known something because baby Samuel Richard was born on October 4, at 2am. He was 6lbs 13 oz. He was so little and cute. I know he will multiply the joy in our family. He also helps to even out the Laurent side of family right now: the grand children are at 2 girls and 2 boys.

Boys are weird!

I know, I know it has been a long time since I have blogged. Life is moving way to fast for me right now, my computer is down, Josh was gone, and by the time I get the girls to bed I am closing my eyes. But enough with the excuses. I will down load some pictures soon but for now I wanted to tell you a cute story.
Abigail told me at breakfast the other morning that she hoped the baby wasn't a boy. I asked her why? She told me that boys are weird. "Don't you think boys are weird mom?" "I said I do think boys are weird, but why do you think boys are weird?" She then said "because they sleep without their shirts on, so I want the baby to be a girl."
I also have made the decision to open up my blog to others so out of town family can see it without so much trouble, so you can pass on the link to others who would like to see pictures of our girls.
